Finca Mirador is a legendary single-vineyard Malbec that tells the story of Mendoza's viticultural survival. Planted in 1921 in the Medrano region, this ungrafted, centenarian vineyard thrives on heavy clay-loam soils at an elevation of roughly 700 meters. Unlike its sibling Finca Altamira, Mirador benefits from a slightly warmer microclimate, yielding a Malbec of immense concentration, dark fruit intensity, and a distinct mineral, graphite-like complexity. Achaval Ferrer's meticulous, low-intervention winemaking—including extremely low yields of just a few bunches per vine and aging in French oak—preserves the pure, untamed voice of this historic site.

Founded in 1998 by Santiago Achával and Manuel Ferrer Minetti, alongside renowned Italian winemaker Roberto Cipresso, Achaval-Ferrer is a pioneering estate located in the Perdriel district of Luján de Cuyo, Mendoza. The winery is celebrated for its unwavering dedication to preserving Argentina's viticultural heritage, focusing on centenarian, ungrafted vineyards that produce exceptionally low yields. Utilizing minimal intervention and aging in French oak barrels, Achaval-Ferrer crafts profound, terroir-driven red wines that showcase the diverse microclimates of Mendoza. Their portfolio is anchored by the critically acclaimed single-vineyard Malbec trilogy—Finca Altamira, Finca Bella Vista, and Finca Mirador—as well as Quimera, a meticulously structured Bordeaux-style blend.
