✨ wine.spec_sheet

Finca Altamira is a legendary single-vineyard Malbec that redefined the potential of Argentine wine on the global stage. Sourced from an ancient, ungrafted vineyard planted in 1925 in La Consulta, Uco Valley, these centenarian vines struggle in poor, stony soils rich in volcanic ash and calcium carbonate. Fed by the pure meltwater of the Tunuyán River, the vines produce incredibly low yields—often just a single glass of wine per vine. Achaval Ferrer employs a philosophy of minimal intervention, fermenting in small cement tanks before aging the wine in new French oak barrels. The result is a profound, terroir-driven masterpiece that balances intense dark fruit with a distinct mineral backbone, fine-grained tannins, and a remarkably fresh acidity that reflects its high-altitude origin.
