Corte Giara is a highly respected project established in 1989 by the historic Allegrini family, pioneers of modern winemaking in the Veneto region. Designed to marry centuries-old local traditions with a contemporary, approachable style, this red wine represents the vibrant spirit of the Veronese hills. Cultivated in vineyards blessed with limestone-rich soils and cooled by gentle breezes from nearby Lake Garda, the wine typically highlights the classic regional grapes Corvina Veronese and Rondinella. The Allegrini family, whose roots in Valpolicella date back to the 16th century, utilizes gentle stainless steel fermentation to preserve the bright, primary fruit characteristics of red cherry, wild berries, and soft herbal undertones. This approach honors the local heritage of everyday drinking wines that once graced the tables of Venetian nobility, offering a fresh, elegant, and authentic taste of Veneto's terroir.
