✨ Technical Specifications

Hailing from the prestigious Bolgheri amphitheater on the Tuscan coast, this flagship red from the historic Tenuta Belvedere—now globally renowned as Tenuta Guado al Tasso—embodies the noble heritage of the Antinori family. The estate's history dates back to the della Gherardesca family in the 17th century, but it was the marriage of Carlotta della Gherardesca to Niccolò Antinori that set the stage for its modern winemaking revolution. The wine is named after the 'badger's ford' (Guado al Tasso), where badgers are often seen crossing the estate's streams. Crafted from a classic blend of Cabernet Sauvignon, Merlot, and Cabernet Franc, the grapes thrive in alluvial soils cooled by gentle sea breezes from the nearby Tyrennhian Sea. Meticulously aged in French oak barriques, this Superiore bottling is celebrated for its deep complexity, seamless tannins, and expressive notes of dark berries, wild herbs, and sweet spices.

🍾 About the Producer

Tracing its winemaking heritage back to 1385 when Giovanni di Piero Antinori joined the Guild of Florentine Winemakers, Marchesi Antinori stands as one of the world's most enduring and influential wine dynasties. For more than twenty-six generations, the family has balanced deep reverence for Tuscan tradition with bold, pioneering innovation, most notably catalyzing the Super Tuscan revolution in the late 20th century. Based at their architecturally stunning headquarters in San Casciano in Val di Pesa, the estate oversees prestigious properties across Tuscany, Umbria, and beyond, with viticulture dedicated to capturing the distinct soul of each terroir. Today, led by Marchese Piero Antinori alongside his daughters Albiera, Allegra, and Alessia, the house produces iconic masterpieces including the legendary Sangiovese-Cabernet blend Tignanello, the opulent Solaia, and the benchmark Italian white Cervaro della Sala.
