✨ Technical Specifications
Ballantine's Finest is a blended Scotch whisky crafted from a combination of single grain whiskies distilled in continuous column stills and single malts produced in traditional copper pot stills, led by components from Glenburgie, Miltonduff, and Glentauchers. Maturation takes place in refill and first-fill American oak ex-bourbon casks. The sensory profile reveals light honey, crisp red apple, heather blossom, and subtle vanilla spice.
🍾 About the Producer
Established in 1827 by George Ballantine in Edinburgh, Ballantine's has evolved into one of the world’s benchmark blended Scotch whisky producers. Operating under the stewardship of Chivas Brothers within the Pernod Ricard portfolio, the brand centers its bottling and blending operations at Kilmalid in Dumbarton. The core architecture of Ballantine's relies on signature Speyside single malts—principally Glenburgie, Miltonduff, and Glentauchers—balanced with refined grain whiskies matured primarily in American oak bourbon casks. This blending philosophy crafts an approachable, elegantly layered spirit defined by orchard fruit, floral heather, soft honey, and sweet vanilla notes. Guided by a disciplined lineage of master blenders, including longtime blender Sandy Hyslop and successor Kevin Balmforth, the house oversees extensive aged inventories while sourcing barley under sustainable Scotch Whisky Association agricultural benchmarks. Benchmark bottlings range from the universally recognized Ballantine's Finest to the celebrated 17, 21, and 30 Year Old prestige age-statement blends.
