Barton & Guestier, established in 1725 by Irish merchant Thomas Barton and later joined by French merchant Daniel Guestier, stands as the oldest wine house in Bordeaux. For this expressive rosé, they source fruit from the sun-drenched vineyards of the Pays d'Oc in the South of France. Here, the Mediterranean climate, characterized by hot, dry summers and cooling sea breezes, provides the perfect canvas for Grenache and Syrah. The grapes are harvested at optimal ripeness and undergo a brief cold maceration or direct pressing, followed by temperature-controlled fermentation in stainless steel to preserve their delicate aromatics. This classic Southern French blend marries the luscious red-berry charm of Grenache with the subtle, spicy structure of Syrah, resulting in a pale, refreshing, and aromatic rosé that captures the relaxed, sun-kissed lifestyle of the French Mediterranean coast.

Barton & Guestier blev grundlagt i 1725 af ireren Thomas Barton, og da den franske købmand Daniel Guestier trådte til i 1802, var grundlaget lagt for det, der i dag er Bordeaux' ældste vinhus. Négociant-huset har hovedsæde på det historiske Château Magnol i Blanquefort og arbejder tæt sammen med hundredvis af passionerede vinbønder.
