Hailing from one of California's most legendary viticultural sites, the Bedrock Wine Co. Bien Nacido Vineyard Chardonnay is a masterclass in cool-climate elegance. Located in the wind-swept Santa Maria Valley, Bien Nacido Vineyard was established in 1973 by the Miller family and is renowned for its maritime soils and intense ocean influence. Bedrock sources its fruit from some of the oldest own-rooted Chardonnay vines in the vineyard. Winemaker Morgan Twain-Peterson MW crafts this wine with minimal intervention, utilizing native yeast fermentation and aging in mostly neutral French oak barrels to let the terroir shine. The result is a Chardonnay of remarkable tension and complexity, balancing vibrant citrus and stone fruit flavors with a distinct saline minerality and a textured, creamy finish that reflects the heritage of these historic vines.
