✨ Technical Specifications
Dolinsek Ranch, located in the cool heart of the Russian River Valley, was originally planted in 1910 by the Frati family. This heritage vineyard sits on classic Goldridge sandy loam soils, which, combined with the region's signature morning fog, yields a remarkably elegant and high-toned field blend. Bedrock Wine Co. preserves this historic site, harvesting a field blend dominated by ancient-vine Zinfandel alongside Petite Sirah, Alicante Bouschet, and rare heritage varieties like Grand Noir. The resulting wine is celebrated for its vibrant acidity, savory complexity, and bright red fruit character, offering a distinct contrast to warmer-climate Zinfandels through its refined structure and perfumed aromatics. Winemaking relies on native yeast fermentation and gentle oak aging to let the unique cool-climate terroir shine.
🍾 About the Producer
Founded in 2007 by winemaker Morgan Twain-Peterson MW, Bedrock Wine Co. is rooted in Sonoma, California, with a devoted mission to rehabilitate and preserve the state's historic old-vine vineyards. Operating out of the storied Bedrock Vineyard in Sonoma Valley—first planted in the mid-19th century—Twain-Peterson and partner Chris Cottrell champion California's viticultural heritage through minimalist, terroir-focused winemaking. The winery crafts energetic, site-expressive wines using classic heritage field blends alongside traditional varieties like Zinfandel, Syrah, Cabernet Sauvignon, and Chardonnay. Renowned for vitality and authenticity, Bedrock's bottlings, particularly the iconic Bedrock Heritage and single-vineyard old-vine expressions, stand as vital benchmarks of historic California wine.
