Hailing from the legendary Evangelho Vineyard in Antioch, Contra Costa County, 'Areio e Vento e Amor' translates from Portuguese to 'Sand, Wind, and Love'—a poetic tribute to the Azorean immigrants who historically farmed this region and the extreme elements that shape it. Planted in the 1890s, these ancient, own-rooted vines thrive in deep, wind-blown Delhi sand dunes. The wine is a Mataro-dominant (Mourvèdre) field blend, co-fermented with Carignan and Zinfandel. The fierce delta winds ('vento') preserve acidity and freshness, while the deep sands ('areio') yield elegant, fine-grained tannins. Bedrock Wine Co. employs minimal-intervention winemaking, utilizing native yeasts and aging in neutral French oak to allow the vineyard's unique savory, dark fruit, and saline mineral character to shine.

Bedrock Wine Co. blev grundlagt i Sonoma, Californien, i 2007 af vinmageren Morgan Twain-Peterson MW med en dedikeret mission om at genoprette og bevare statens historiske vinmarker med gamle vinstokke. Med udgangspunkt i den legendariske Bedrock Vineyard i Sonoma Valley – som oprindeligt blev tilplantet i midten af det 19. århundrede – hylder Twain-Peterson og hans partner Chris Cottrell Californiens vinarv gennem en minimalistisk og terroir-drevet vinifikation.
