Hailing from the cool, fog-shrouded Bennett Valley AVA in Sonoma County, the Judge Family Vineyard Sauvignon Blanc showcases a highly expressive and textured side of this classic grape. The vineyard is situated in a unique volcanic caldera where cool marine winds pour through the Petaluma Gap, allowing the grapes—which include a significant portion of the highly aromatic Sauvignon Musqué clone—to ripen slowly while retaining brilliant, electric acidity. Bedrock Wine Co. crafts this wine with minimal intervention, fermenting and aging the juice in a thoughtful combination of neutral French oak barrels, concrete vessels, and stainless steel. This diverse regime tempers the grape's natural herbaceousness, instead coaxing out complex layers of white peach, lemon curd, flinty minerality, and a rich, creamy texture that beautifully balances its vibrant structural spine.
