Hailing from the historic Under the Mountain Vineyard, situated at the eastern base of the Santa Cruz Mountains in the Santa Clara Valley, this heritage red wine is a liquid testament to California's viticultural past. Planted in the 1910s, the vineyard features ancient, own-rooted vines that struggle through gravelly loam soils. The field blend is anchored by Zinfandel and complemented by Carignan and other mixed black varieties. Bedrock Wine Co. employs traditional, low-intervention winemaking techniques, including native yeast fermentation and aging in mostly used French oak barrels, to let the site's unique voice speak.
