In the heart of the Jura, Stéphane Tissot pays homage to the ancient lineage of Savagnin with his 'Traminer' cuvée. Historically, Savagnin is a member of the Traminer grape family, and by labeling this wine as such, Tissot revives a historical connection to the grape's ancestral roots. Unlike the oxidative, 'sous voile' style traditionally associated with the region, this wine is crafted in the 'ouillé' (topped-up) style. This non-oxidative approach preserves the grape's intense floral aromas, vibrant citrus notes, and deep mineral core. Sourced from biodynamically farmed vineyards rooted in the region's famous Lias clay and limestone soils, the juice is fermented with indigenous yeasts and aged in oak.
