Beringer, established in 1876 by brothers Jacob and Frederick Beringer, stands as Napa Valley's oldest continuously operating winery. Their Fumé Blanc is a tribute to the historic California style of Sauvignon Blanc, a term famously coined in the late 1960s to denote a dry, sometimes oak-influenced expression of the grape. Crafted primarily from Sauvignon Blanc, Beringer’s rendition beautifully balances the grape's natural, vibrant acidity with a rounder texture. This is achieved through a thoughtful combination of cool stainless steel fermentation to preserve bright citrus, melon, and stone fruit aromas, alongside partial aging in seasoned French oak barrels. The result is an expressive white wine that captures the generous California sunshine while paying homage to traditional winemaking heritage.

Beringer Vineyards blev grundlagt i 1876 af brødrene Jacob og Frederick Beringer og er i dag Californiens ældste kontinuerligt fungerende vinhus, beliggende i hjertet af St. Helena i Napa Valley. Som pionerer inden for tidlig vinproduktion i Napa udhuggede Beringer-brødrene kalkstensgrotter med håndkraft og etablerede kældre baseret på tyngdekraftsprincippet for at skabe raffinerede og lagringsværdige vine. I dag ejes det historiske vinhus af Treasury Wine Estates og viderefører en kompromisløs dedikation til terroirdrevet vindyrkning på tværs af de bedste parceller i Napa Valley og Knights Valley.
