Beringer's Hayne Vineyard Petite Sirah is a legendary expression of one of Napa Valley's most historic grape varieties. Located in the warm St. Helena AVA, the Hayne Vineyard is renowned for its ancient, head-trained Petite Sirah vines, which were planted in 1953. These old vines dig deep into the gravelly loam soils, producing tiny, intensely concentrated berries. Beringer, established in 1876 by the Beringer brothers, has long recognized the exceptional quality of this site. The resulting wine is famously ink-dark, offering a monumental structure packed with black fruit, cocoa, and cracked black pepper, softened by meticulous aging in oak barrels. It stands as a testament to Napa's rich viticultural heritage before Cabernet Sauvignon became dominant.
