Weingut Bernhart's Riesling Trocken is a brilliant testament to the unique, cross-border terroir of Schweigen-Rechtenbach in the southern Pfalz. Here, along the German-French border, the vineyards tell a story of shared history and geological complexity, where vines planted on French soil are legally vinified as German wine. This dry Riesling is shaped by the region's signature limestone (Kalkmergel) and loess soils, which impart a distinct, vibrant minerality and structured acidity. Crafted with traditional Pfalz winemaking philosophy, the grapes are carefully selected and fermented in temperature-controlled stainless steel tanks to preserve the pure, energetic fruit profile of the Riesling grape. The result is a classic, refreshing estate wine that captures the cool-climate precision and heritage of this historic borderland.

Weingut Bernhart ligger i Schweigen-Rechtenbach ved Pfalz' sydligste spids klos op ad den franske grænse. Det anerkendte familiedomæne er berømt for elegant at forene tyske og alsassiske vindyrkningstraditioner. Vingården ledes af Gerd Bernhart, som har været medlem af det prestigefyldte VDP siden 2004, og her skabes udtryksfulde, terroir-præcise vine fra historiske parceller, der strækker sig på tværs af landegrænsen, såsom Schweigener Sonnenberg.
