Situated on the eastern bench of Oakville, immediately adjacent to Screaming Eagle, the Tench Vineyard is legendary for its iron-rich, red volcanic soils and clay loam. This unique terroir imparts a distinctive mineral complexity and explosive dark fruit profile to the grapes. Winemaker Russell Bevan utilizes his signature style of meticulous vineyard selection, late harvesting for peak physiological ripeness, and aging in prime French oak to fashion a wine of monumental concentration and plush, velvety texture.
