✨ wine.spec_sheet

The legendary partnership between Champagne Bollinger and James Bond began on screen in 1973's Live and Let Die, born from a handshake agreement of mutual respect between Christian Bizot of Bollinger and producer Cubby Broccoli. This Special Cuvée Brut James Bond 007 limited edition celebrates this cinematic heritage with Bollinger's signature house style. Dominated by Pinot Noir (typically around 60%), alongside Chardonnay and Pinot Meunier, the wine is crafted from grapes harvested primarily in Grand Cru and Premier Cru vineyards. Bollinger's traditional methods include fermenting a portion of the wines in old oak casks and blending in a high proportion of reserve wines—some of which are aged in magnums under cork for up to 15 years. This meticulous process yields a Champagne of immense depth, characterized by aromas of roasted apples, brioche, and fresh walnuts, backed by a velvety mousse and a structured, powerful finish.

🍾 wine.about_producer

Founded in 1829 in the historic village of Aÿ by Jacques Bollinger, Paul Renaudin, and Hennequin de Villermont, Champagne Bollinger is one of the region's most prestigious and fiercely independent family-owned houses. Renowned for its Pinot Noir-dominated blends and traditional production methods, Bollinger uniquely ferments its vintage wines in seasoned oak casks and maintains an extensive library of reserve wines aged in magnums under cork. The house's signature style is defined by its rich complexity, structure, and depth, best exemplified by legendary cuvées like Special Cuvée, La Grande Année, and the late-disgorged R.D. Additionally, Bollinger preserves a rare piece of viticultural history with its ungrafted, pre-phylloxera Pinot Noir vines used to produce the ultra-exclusive Vieilles Vignes Françaises.
