✨ wine.spec_sheet

Boschendal's Grande Syrah represents the pinnacle of the estate's red winemaking, a modern classic that pays homage to the French Huguenot roots of the estate while embracing the distinct maritime-influenced terroir of the Coastal Region. Sourced from low-yielding, prime vineyard sites, particularly from the wind-swept slopes of Stellenbosch, the grapes undergo meticulous hand-sorting. The wine is matured in French oak barriques for 15 to 18 months, which coaxes out a dark, brooding profile rich in black pepper, dark plums, and exotic spices, underpinned by a seamless, velvety tannin structure. It is a testament to Boschendal's centuries-old legacy, marrying Old World restraint with New World fruit purity.
