Boschendal's Reserve Sauvignon Blanc is a brilliant showcase of cool-climate viticulture within South Africa's Coastal Region. Sourced from premium, high-altitude vineyards where maritime breezes from the nearby oceans temper the warm African sun, the grapes undergo a slow, even ripening process. This slow maturation concentrates the classic herbaceous and tropical fruit profiles of the grape. In the cellar, the winemaking team utilizes reductive winemaking techniques and extended lees contact to enhance the wine's texture, depth, and complexity while preserving its vibrant, mineral-driven acidity. This cuvée reflects the estate's centuries-old legacy of harmony with nature, delivering a sophisticated expression of South African terroir.

Boschendal blev grundlagt i 1685 af den franske huguenot Jean le Long og er en af Sydafrikas ældste og mest prestigefyldte vingårde. Ejendommen ligger smukt placeret mellem Franschhoek og Stellenbosch med de dramatiske bjerge Groot Drakenstein og Simonsberg i baggrunden. Vingården er dybt forankret i den traditionelle hollandske Cape Dutch-arkitektur og arbejder kompromisløst med regenerativt landbrug, biodiversitet og bæredygtig vindyrkning på tværs af et væld af forskellige jordbundstyper og mikroklimaer. Boschendal er berømt for sine banebrydende Méthode Cap Classique-mousserende vine samt den anmelderroste 1685-serie. Huset mestrer alt fra sprøde Sauvignon Blanc-vine og komplekse, lagdelte Chardonnay-fortolkninger til elegante, strukturerede rødvine på Shiraz og Cabernet-blends.
