Part of Boschendal's esteemed Heritage Collection, 'The Suzanne' is a sophisticated white blend that pays tribute to Suzanne de Buelle, one of the pioneering French Huguenot women who helped shape the early agricultural and winemaking landscape of the Cape. This classic white Bordeaux-style blend marries the vibrant, fresh acidity of Sauvignon Blanc with the rich, textured, and waxy complexity of barrel-fermented Semillon. Sourced from cool-climate vineyards in the Western Cape, the grapes are carefully harvested and vinified, with a portion of the Semillon undergoing oak aging to impart subtle spice, creaminess, and structural depth. The result is a harmonious, age-worthy white wine that captures both the historic spirit of the estate and the modern precision of South African cool-climate viticulture.

Boschendal blev grundlagt i 1685 af den franske huguenot Jean le Long og er en af Sydafrikas ældste og mest prestigefyldte vingårde. Ejendommen ligger smukt placeret mellem Franschhoek og Stellenbosch med de dramatiske bjerge Groot Drakenstein og Simonsberg i baggrunden. Vingården er dybt forankret i den traditionelle hollandske Cape Dutch-arkitektur og arbejder kompromisløst med regenerativt landbrug, biodiversitet og bæredygtig vindyrkning på tværs af et væld af forskellige jordbundstyper og mikroklimaer. Boschendal er berømt for sine banebrydende Méthode Cap Classique-mousserende vine samt den anmelderroste 1685-serie. Huset mestrer alt fra sprøde Sauvignon Blanc-vine og komplekse, lagdelte Chardonnay-fortolkninger til elegante, strukturerede rødvine på Shiraz og Cabernet-blends.
