✨ Technical Specifications
Crafted as a classic Italian aromatized and fortified aperitivo, this red vermouth combines an Italian wine base infused with a traditional selection of botanicals, alpine and Mediterranean herbs, roots, and citrus peel. Maceration of Artemisia (wormwood), gentian root, orange zest, and sweet spices yields a deep amber-garnet profile balance between herbal bitterness and caramelized sugar richness. Fermentation and maceration take place in stainless steel vats before fortification with neutral spirit and subsequent settling to ensure stability and aromatic clarity.
🍾 About the Producer
Founded in 1928 by Carlo and Maria Botter in Fossalta di Piave, near Venice, Botter began as a modest enterprise selling local cask wines before evolving into one of Italy's most prominent and internationally dynamic wine companies. Built across three generations of family leadership and now part of the Argea wine group, the house expanded from its Venetian origins to collaborate with trusted growers across Italy, notably in the Veneto, Abruzzo, and Puglia. Botter combines cutting-edge cellar technology with environmentally conscious production standards, focusing on delivering vibrant, clean, and terroir-driven styles. The producer is particularly renowned for its crisp Prosecco, refreshing Pinot Grigio delle Venezie, and opulent, fruit-forward southern Italian reds such as Primitivo.
