The Cuvée Madeleine Collignon is one of the most prestigious offerings of the annual Hospices de Beaune wine auction, sourced from the legendary Mazis-Chambertin Grand Cru in the Côte de Nuits. This exceptional cuvée is named in honor of Madeleine Collignon, who generously bequeathed her family's prized old-vine parcels to the Hospices in 1976. When acquired and aged by the historic house of Bouchard Père & Fils, the wine undergoes a meticulous élevage in the subterranean cellars of the Château de Beaune. Crafted from 100% Pinot Noir, it beautifully marries the wild, muscular, and deeply mineral character of Mazis-Chambertin with a refined, velvety elegance, offering complex layers of dark berries, forest floor, and exotic spices.
