Hailing from one of Burgundy's oldest and most venerable houses, Bouchard Père et Fils, founded in 1731, the 'Vignes Romanes' is a beautifully crafted white wine that pays homage to the region's deep Roman viticultural roots. Produced from the traditional Aligoté grape, this cuvée captures the vibrant, crisp, and mineral-driven side of Burgundy. The grapes are sourced from selected parcels where limestone-rich soils impart a distinctive flinty character. Vinified with care to preserve its bright fruit and energetic acidity, this wine represents a historic, refreshing style of white Burgundy that has graced local tables for centuries, celebrating the everyday elegance of the region's terroir.

Bouchard Père & Fils blev grundlagt i 1731 af Michel Bouchard og er et af Bourgognes ældste og mest agtede vinhuse, med base i det historiske Château de Beaune fra det 15. århundrede. Gennem næsten tre århundreders omhyggelige opkøb har vinhuset opbygget en enestående mosaik af vinmarker, som i dag dækker omkring 130 hektar i Côte d'Or, herunder en lang række prestigefyldte Grand Cru- og Premier Cru-parceller. Husets filosofi bygger på parcel-for-parcel-vinificering og en nænsom fadlagring i de underjordiske fæstningskældre, hvilket bringer de enkelte climats subtile nuancer frem i lyset. Bouchard Père & Fils er verdenskendt for sin elegance, struktur og rene terroirpræg.
