The 'Generazione Mille898' collection by Cantine Nicosia pays homage to the historic founding year of 1898, when Francesco Nicosia first began his winemaking journey in Sicily. While the family is deeply rooted in the volcanic slopes of Mount Etna, this range explores the diverse terroirs of broader Sicily, showcasing how international varieties adapt to the island's sun-drenched climate. The Syrah is crafted from grapes grown in soils that benefit from intense Mediterranean sunshine balanced by cooling coastal breezes. Vinified primarily in temperature-controlled stainless steel tanks to preserve its fresh, fruit-forward character, this wine offers an expressive profile of dark plums, blackberries, and the grape's signature cracked black pepper, wrapped in a smooth, approachable structure.

Cantine Nicosia er en historisk siciliansk vingård, grundlagt i 1898 af Francesco Nicosia og beliggende på Etnas østlige skråninger i Trecastagni. Gennem fem generationer i familiens eje har vinhuset etableret sig som en passioneret ambassadør for Siciliens vulkanske terroir og oprindelige druesorter – altid med fokus på certificeret økologisk vindyrkning og moderne, bæredygtig vinfremstilling.
