Casa Silva's Cool Coast Pinot Noir is a definitive expression of Chile's coastal viticulture. Sourced from the pioneering Paredones vineyard in the cool-climate coastal hills of the Colchagua Valley, this wine is shaped by its close proximity to the cold Pacific Ocean. The vines grow in soils rich in decomposed granite and quartz, benefiting from morning fogs and cooling ocean breezes that slow ripening and preserve natural acidity. Casa Silva was among the first to recognize the potential of this challenging, wind-swept terroir for delicate varieties. The resulting Pinot Noir is crafted with minimal intervention, utilizing cold maceration and gentle fermentation, followed by partial aging in French oak to complement its bright red-fruit core with subtle, elegant complexity.
