Channing Daughters Cuv ee Tropical is a vibrant, aromatic white blend that showcases the innovative spirit of Long Island's South Fork. Winemaker Christopher Tracy artfully crafts this cuv ee to emphasize exotic, tropical fruit characters, drawing on the estate's diverse plantings. By blending aromatic varieties like Gew urztraminer, Muscat, and Sauvignon Blanc with a backbone of Chardonnay, the winery coaxes out lush notes of mango, pineapple, and citrus. The grapes are grown in the unique Bridgehampton loam soils, under the cooling influence of the Atlantic Ocean and Peconic Bay. Fermented cool in stainless steel tanks to preserve its intense primary aromatics and crisp acidity, this wine represents a playful yet sophisticated expression of maritime New York terroir.
