The Home Farm Vineyard Lagrein Rosato is a testament to Channing Daughters' adventurous spirit and pioneering viticulture on Long Island's South Fork. Lagrein, a red variety native to the mountainous Trentino-Alto Adige region of northern Italy, finds an unexpected but highly successful home in the maritime climate of Bridgehampton. Grown on the unique Bridgehampton silt loam soils of the Home Farm Vineyard, this grape benefits from the moderating influence of the Atlantic Ocean and the Peconic Bay. Winemaker Christopher Tracy crafts this rosato to highlight the grape's naturally vibrant acidity and deep pigment. Through gentle handling and careful skin contact, the winery coaxes out a savory, textured, and deeply colored rosé that bridges the gap between traditional light summer pinks and light-bodied red wines, offering a captivating expression of East End terroir.
