Channing Daughters is renowned for pushing the boundaries of East End viticulture, and their Home Farm Vineyard Refosco Rosato is a prime example of this experimental spirit. Refosco dal Peduncolo Rosso, a grape native to northeastern Italy's Friuli region, thrives unexpectedly well in the maritime terroir of Bridgehampton, Long Island. This Rosato is crafted with minimal intervention, capturing the grape's natural high acidity and distinctive dark-berried, savory profile. The maritime breezes and glacial soils of the South Fork impart a distinct saline minerality to the wine. Typically produced using gentle pressing and cool fermentation in stainless steel, it results in a dry, textured, and deeply aromatic rosé that bridges the gap between Old World alpine tradition and New York's coastal energy.

Channing Daughters Winery blev grundlagt af Walter Channing, som plantede de første vinstokke i 1982 i Bridgehampton på Long Islands South Fork. I dag fremstår vinhuset som en af New Yorks mest opfindsomme og grænsesøgende håndværksproducenter.
