Sourced from the acclaimed Mudd West Vineyard on Long Island's North Fork, this wine represents a beautiful synergy between site and grape. The vineyard, planted and meticulously managed by the pioneering Mudd family, features sandy loam soils that allow the Blaufränkisch grape to express its full cool-climate potential. Winemaker Christopher Tracy coaxes a vibrant, highly aromatic expression from these vines, utilizing artisanal, low-intervention techniques. The maritime influence of the surrounding Peconic Bay and Atlantic Ocean moderates the climate, yielding a red wine characterized by bright acidity, savory spice, and crunchy dark berry fruit, showcasing a unique New York interpretation of this classic Austrian variety.

Channing Daughters Winery blev grundlagt i 1982, da venturekapitalisten og billedhuggeren Walter Channing plantede sine første Chardonnay-stokke i Bridgehampton. Sidenhen har vinhuset udviklet sig til en af de mest vovede og nytænkende producenter på Long Islands East End.
