Hailing from the wind-swept maritime terroir of Bridgehampton on Long Island's South Fork, Channing Daughters Pinot Grigio is a vibrant expression of cool-climate viticulture. Grown in unique, well-draining Bridgehampton silt loam soils deposited by glaciers thousands of years ago, the vines benefit from the moderating influence of the Atlantic Ocean and the Peconic Bay. Winemaker Christopher Tracy coaxes a remarkably textured and aromatic profile from this classic grape, utilizing gentle whole-cluster pressing and temperature-controlled fermentation primarily in stainless steel to preserve the grape's natural, bright acidity and saline minerality. This wine captures the breezy, coastal essence of the East End, offering a beautiful tension between ripe orchard fruit and refreshing sea-spray notes.
