Hailing from the prestigious Côte de Beaune, the Pommard 'Clos de la Platière' is a distinguished red Burgundy that showcases the robust and structured side of Pinot Noir. The vineyard of Clos de la Platière is situated on a gentle slope with soils rich in iron, clay, and limestone, which contribute to the wine's deep color, firm tannic structure, and intense aromatic profile. Château de Meursault vinifies this parcel with meticulous care, employing traditional temperature-controlled fermentation and aging the wine in French oak casks (with a carefully selected proportion of new oak) in their historic 12th-century cellars. This process coaxes out classic Pommard characteristics: dark wild berries, earthy forest floor, and subtle spice, balanced by a vibrant acidity that reflects its exceptional terroir.

Château de Meursault er en af de mest ikoniske og historiske ejendomme i Côte de Beaune med rødder helt tilbage til det 11. århundrede, hvor det blev grundlagt af Robert 1., hertug af Burgund.
