Since the late 19th century, the Barossa has been understood not as a homogenous valley, but as a patchwork of unique microclimates and ancient soils—ranging from the red clays of northern parishes like Greenock and Ebenezer to the sandy loams of Krondorf in the south. This wine is crafted by sourcing premium Shiraz grapes from these distinct parishes, blending them to capture the full spectrum of the valley's character. Utilizing traditional winemaking techniques, such as fermentation in open-top fermenters and gentle basket pressing, the wine undergoes aging in seasoned French and American oak barrels. The result is a classic, full-bodied expression of Barossa Shiraz, balancing rich dark fruit flavors with structural elegance and a sense of place.
