Created as a special limited edition to celebrate the 65th anniversary of the Parisian spirits specialist La Maison du Whisky, Compass Box Ethereal is a masterfully crafted blended malt Scotch whisky. It serves as a spiritual successor to 'Eleuthera', one of Compass Box's earliest and most beloved creations. Ethereal explores the delicate interplay between smoke and elegance, blending mature, heavily peated Islay single malt (primarily from the Caol Ila distillery) with fruity, structured Highland malts. This combination yields a complex, ethereal profile where maritime peat smoke, medicinal notes, and cold ash are beautifully balanced by ripe orchard fruits, vanilla, and soft oak spices. It represents the pinnacle of John Glaser's blending philosophy, where contrasting flavor profiles harmonize into a seamless, multi-dimensional spirit.

Established in 2000 by visionary blender John Glaser, Compass Box is an independent boutique Scotch whiskymaking house dedicated to reimagining the traditions of blending. Operating out of its blending studio in Richmond, London, with warehouse maturation bases in Scotland, the firm approaches Scotch with the exacting philosophy of an artisan winemaker.
