Created as a special limited edition to celebrate the 65th anniversary of the Parisian spirits specialist La Maison du Whisky, Compass Box Ethereal is a masterfully crafted blended malt Scotch whisky. It serves as a spiritual successor to 'Eleuthera', one of Compass Box's earliest and most beloved creations. Ethereal explores the delicate interplay between smoke and elegance, blending mature, heavily peated Islay single malt (primarily from the Caol Ila distillery) with fruity, structured Highland malts. This combination yields a complex, ethereal profile where maritime peat smoke, medicinal notes, and cold ash are beautifully balanced by ripe orchard fruits, vanilla, and soft oak spices.
