The name itself pays homage to the noble title of 'Marques de Casa Concha' bestowed upon the founder's ancestor, José de Santiago Concha y Salvatierra, by King Philip V of Spain in 1718. Sourced primarily from the renowned El Mariscal vineyard in the Puente Alto D.O. of the Maipo Valley, this wine benefits from the cooling influence of the Andes Mountains and stony, alluvial soils. The blend is meticulously crafted, combining the structure of Cabernet Sauvignon with the aromatic elegance of Cabernet Franc and the deep color of Petit Verdot, before being aged in French oak barrels. The result is a deeply concentrated, complex wine that captures the historic soul and modern refinement of Chilean winemaking.

Viña Concha y Toro blev grundlagt i 1883 af Don Melchor de Concha y Toro og hans hustru Emiliana Subercaseaux. Vinhuset er i dag Chiles mest fremtrædende producent og en absolut hjørnesten i sydamerikansk vinhistorie. Hovedsædet ligger i Pirque i den historiske Maipo Valley, og ejendommens fundament blev lagt med ædle franske vinstokke hentet direkte fra Bordeaux. Siden har porteføljen bredt sig til Chiles bedste dale, lige fra Limarí til Peumo.
