The Marques de Casa Concha Pinot Noir is a brilliant showcase of Chile's cool-climate potential, sourced from the mineral-rich soils of the Limarí Valley in the northern Coquimbo region. Here, the San Julián vineyard sits just 30 kilometers from the Pacific Ocean, benefiting from the cooling camanchaca morning fog and refreshing sea breezes. The soils are unique for Chile, featuring a high concentration of calcium carbonate mixed with clay, which imparts a distinctive mineral tension and vibrant acidity to the wine. Named in honor of the noble title bestowed upon the winery's founder in 1718 by King Philip V of Spain, this Pinot Noir is crafted using traditional techniques, including aging in French oak barrels. The result is an elegant, structured red that beautifully balances bright red berry fruit with earthy undertones.
