Here, the San Julián vineyard sits just 30 kilometers from the Pacific Ocean, benefiting from the cooling camanchaca morning fog and refreshing sea breezes. The soils are unique for Chile, featuring a high concentration of calcium carbonate mixed with clay, which imparts a distinctive mineral tension and vibrant acidity to the wine. Named in honor of the noble title bestowed upon the winery's founder in 1718 by King Philip V of Spain, this Pinot Noir is crafted using traditional techniques, including aging in French oak barrels.
