✨ Tekniske specifikationer
Craigellachie is affectionately known as the 'Bad Boy of Speyside' due to its stubborn refusal to conform to the typically light, sweet, and grassy Speyside style. Founded in 1891, the distillery famously continues to employ traditional copper worm tubs—coiled pipes cooled in open-air cold water tanks—which limit copper contact during condensation. This intentional inefficiency preserves heavy, sulfurous, and meaty compounds in the spirit. When matured in single casks and bottled at cask strength, the result is a muscular, oil-slicked dram bursting with grilled pineapple, striking matchstick, and robust oak. This specific single cask expression captures the defiant, old-school character of the distillery in its purest, unadulterated form.
