Hailing from the highly acclaimed Blewitt Springs sub-region of McLaren Vale, this single-vineyard Grenache is a masterclass in terroir expression. The vineyard is characterized by its ancient Maslin sands, which are over tens of millions of years old, resting on a bed of clay. This unique soil composition, combined with a slightly cooler elevation, imparts a distinct aromatic intensity, bright acidity, and fine, silty tannins to the wine. d'Arenberg employs traditional, hands-on winemaking techniques for this cuvée, including foot-treading in open fermenters and gentle basket pressing, before aging in seasoned French oak barriques. The result is a beautifully perfumed and elegant expression of old-vine Grenache, showcasing vibrant red berry fruit, exotic spices, and a mineral-driven finish that reflects its sandy origins.

Founded in 1912 by Joseph Osborn, d'Arenberg has grown into one of McLaren Vale's most iconic and storied family-owned estates in South Australia.
