Named after the olive trees that have lined the pathways of the d'Arenberg estate since the early 20th century, 'The Olive Grove' Chardonnay is a beautiful expression of McLaren Vale's Mediterranean-influenced terroir. In this warm maritime climate, Chardonnay grapes develop rich, generous stone fruit flavors while maintaining a vibrant natural acidity. True to d'Arenberg's hands-on philosophy, the grapes are gently pressed, and a portion of the juice undergoes fermentation and aging in French oak barriques with regular lees stirring (battonage). This traditional technique imparts a creamy texture and subtle nutty complexity, beautifully balancing the wine's bright peach, melon, and citrus notes. It stands as a classic, textured Australian Chardonnay with a rich sense of place.

Founded in 1912 by Joseph Osborn, d'Arenberg has grown into one of McLaren Vale's most iconic and storied family-owned estates in South Australia. Under the visionary stewardship of fourth-generation winemaker Chester Osborn, the winery adheres strictly to traditional, sustainable methods, utilizing certified organic and biodynamic viticulture along with foot-treading and basket pressing.
