The Saint-Esprit Côtes-du-Rhône Rouge is a signature cuvée from Delas Frères that beautifully bridges the stylistic gap between the Northern and Southern Rhône. The wine's name pays homage to the historical Saint-Esprit district and the deep-rooted monastic winemaking traditions of the region, where religious orders meticulously cultivated the steep banks of the Rhône River. Uniquely for a Côtes-du-Rhône, this blend is anchored by a dominant proportion of Syrah, reflecting Delas's Northern Rhône heritage and imparting a deep color, structure, and signature notes of cracked black pepper and violet. The grapes are primarily sourced from the right bank of the Rhône, where the vineyards sit on soils composed of granite, silica, and limestone debris. To preserve the vibrant, primary fruit character and elegant terroir expression, the wine is vinified in temperature-controlled stainless steel tanks and undergoes gentle extraction before aging, resulting in a remarkably plush, spicy, and accessible red.

Maison Delas Frères blev grundlagt i 1835 af Charles Audibert og Philippe Delas og er et ikonisk vinhus i Rhône-dalen med hovedsæde i Tain-l'Hermitage. Huset er i dag en del af Champagne Louis Roederers familie af vingårde og har gennemgået en markant kvalitetsmæssig renæssance takket være moderne kældermetoder og et kompromisløst fokus på vinmarksarbejdet i både det nordlige og sydlige Rhône. Delas råder over prestigefyldte parceller i berømte appellationer som Hermitage, Côte-Rôtie, Condrieu og Châteauneuf-du-Pape.
