Domaine Dirler-Cadé’s Cuvée Luc Antoine Sylvaner is a beautiful testament to a grape variety that was once the workhorse of Alsace but has found a noble, expressive voice under biodynamic stewardship. Named in honor of Luc-Antoine, the son of Jean-Christophe Dirler and Ludivine Cadé, this cuvée represents both family legacy and the future of the estate. Sourced from old vines rooted in the sandy-clay soils of Bergholtz, this wine defies the historical stereotype of Sylvaner as a simple, neutral blending grape. Through meticulous biodynamic farming, low yields, and traditional horse-drawn plowing, the estate coaxes remarkable depth, vibrant acidity, and a distinct stony minerality from the vines. Fermented slowly with indigenous yeasts and aged on its fine lees, the wine showcases a pure, textured palate with delicate white flower aromas, herbal undertones, and a crisp, saline finish that reflects the unique terroir of the region.

Established in 1871 by Jean Dirler in the village of Bergholtz, Domaine Dirler-Cadé is a pioneering force in Alsace's biodynamic wine movement. Now run by the fifth generation, Jean-Christophe Dirler and his wife Ludivine Cadé, the estate expanded in 1998 through the union of their family vineyards. The domaine is deeply committed to ecological balance, achieving full biodynamic certification and utilizing traditional horse-drawn plowing to preserve the soils of their prestigious Grand Cru plots, including Kessler, Spiegel, Saering, and Kitterlé. They are highly acclaimed for their precise, terroir-driven white wines, particularly mineral-rich Rieslings, expressive Pinot Gris, and elegant Gewurztraminers.Lineage and respect for the land define their craft, producing wines of exceptional purity and longevity.Address: 13 Rue d'Orschwihr, 68500 Bergholtz, Alsace, France.
