The Scharzhof estate, with roots tracing back to medieval monastic viticulture, has been managed by the Müller family since 1797. This highly coveted 'Auction' bottling is selected from the finest parcels of old, often ungrafted vines and sold exclusively at the annual VDP auction in Trier. Grown on deep, weathered grey slate soils, the 100% Riesling grapes benefit from a unique microclimate where cool winds preserve a piercing, electric acidity that perfectly balances the wine's natural residual sweetness. Vinified traditionally in neutral oak Fuder casks, this Spätlese is celebrated for its breathtaking purity, intense minerality, and complex notes of white peach, petrol, and wet stone.
