Emiliana's Signos de Origen is a site-specific project designed to showcase the unique relationship between grape varieties and their ideal micro-terroirs. For this elegant Syrah, the grapes are sourced from the La Quebrada vineyard in the Casablanca Valley, situated within the coastal influence of the Aconcagua region. Here, the vines are caressed by morning fogs and cooling breezes from the Pacific Ocean, which slow the ripening process and preserve the grape's natural acidity and bright, peppery aromatics. Rooted in decomposed granite soils with clay, the vines produce low yields of highly concentrated fruit. True to Emiliana's pioneering biodynamic philosophy, the vineyard is treated as a living organism, utilizing cover crops and animal biodiversity instead of synthetic chemicals. The wine is typically aged in a combination of French oak barrels and concrete eggs to respect the purity of the fruit, resulting in a Syrah of exceptional freshness, floral lift, and savory complexity.

Emiliana blev grundlagt i 1986 af Guilisasti-familien og har siden udviklet sig til verdens førende producent af økologiske og biodynamiske vine. I slutningen af 1990'erne gik den visionære direktør Rafael Guilisasti sammen med den anerkendte konsulterende vinmager Álvaro Espinoza for at bane vejen for bæredygtig vinavl på tværs af Chiles mest prestigefyldte vinregioner, herunder Casablanca, Maipo, Colchagua og Cachapoal Valleys. Emiliana arbejder ud fra Demeter-certificerede biodynamiske principper, hvor syntetiske sprøjtemidler fravælges til fordel for naturlige præparater og lokal biodiversitet for at lade terroiret komme rent til udtryk. Vingården er særligt berømt for sine biodynamiske flagskibsrødvine, heriblandt Coyam og Gê, samt karakterfulde enkeltmarksvine på Carmenère, Cabernet Sauvignon og Syrah.
