Named 'La Cumbre'—meaning 'The Summit'—this iconic bottling represents the pinnacle of Viña Errázuriz's exploration of Syrah in the Aconcagua Valley. First released in 2001, it was born from Eduardo Chadwick's pioneering vision to prove that Chile's premier terroirs could produce world-class Syrah. The grapes are sourced from selected hillside blocks in the Don Maximiano vineyards, where colluvial soils with high gravel content and the cooling influence of Pacific breezes create a unique microclimate. This terroir yields a wine of extraordinary intensity, structure, and elegance. Traditionally fermented in stainless steel and aged for up to 20 months in French oak barrels, La Cumbre is celebrated for its deep violet hue, complex aromas of black fruits, cracked black pepper, and rosemary, and its seamless, velvety texture.

Established in 1870 by Don Maximiano Errázuriz, Viña Errázuriz is an architect of modern Chilean viticulture. Sited in the Aconcagua Valley, the estate traverses diverse mesoclimates, moving from warm, alluvial inland terraces framed by the Andes to cool-climate maritime slopes in Aconcagua Costa. Viticulture emphasizes precision farming certified under the Wines of Chile Sustainability Code. Errázuriz revolutionized Chile's global standing through the historic 2004 Berlin Tasting orchestrated by Eduardo Chadwick, alongside longtime Technical Director Francisco Baettig.
