✨ Technical Specifications
The story of Finca Piedra Infinita is one of monumental human effort and geological marvel. Located in Paraje Altamira within the Uco Valley, the vineyard's name translates to 'infinite stone'—a literal description of the landscape. To plant these vines, Sebastián Zuccardi and his team had to remove over a thousand truckloads of massive, calcareous alluvial stones, uncovering a complex soil profile rich in calcium carbonate. This extreme terroir yields a Malbec of unparalleled tension, structure, and mineral drive, completely redefining the traditional perception of Argentine Malbec. Fermented in concrete vessels and aged without the heavy footprint of new oak, the wine acts as a direct conduit to the cold, high-altitude soils of the Andes, offering a pure, chalky texture and vibrant floral-dark fruit character.
🍾 About the Producer
Founded in 1963 by Alberto Zuccardi in Mendoza, Argentina, Familia Zuccardi has evolved into one of the country's most visionary and prestigious family-owned wine dynasties. Under the leadership of José Alberto Zuccardi and third-generation winemaker Sebastián Zuccardi, the estate has shifted its focus towards high-altitude viticulture in the Uco Valley, pioneering deep geological research and unadorned concrete-vessel fermentations to express genuine site specificity. Operating state-of-the-art facilities like the acclaimed Piedra Infinita winery in Paraje Altamira, Zuccardi produces benchmark, mineral-driven Malbecs such as Finca Piedra Infinita alongside benchmark expressions of Bonarda and Cabernet Sauvignon across red, white, sparkling, and fortified categories.
