Château de Beaucastel Blanc is a legendary anomaly in the southern Rhône, celebrated for its unique reliance on the Roussanne grape, which makes up the vast majority of this prestigious blend. While most white Châteauneuf-du-Pape wines are dominated by Grenache Blanc, Beaucastel champions Roussanne, harvested from old vines rooted in the estate's iconic terroir of 'galets roulés'—large, heat-retaining rolled stones deposited by ancient glaciers. This unique soil, combined with cool marine winds, imparts a distinct saline minerality and structural tension to the wine. The grapes are hand-harvested and vinified with meticulous care; a portion is fermented in oak foudres and pieces, while the remainder is kept in stainless steel to preserve freshness. The resulting wine is incredibly complex, offering rich aromas of honey, beeswax, apricot, and white flowers, backed by a luxurious texture and vibrant acidity.

Established in the southern Rhône Valley and closely tied to the legendary Château de Beaucastel since 1909, Famille Perrin is one of France's most respected winemaking dynasties. Under the visionary guidance of Jacques Perrin and subsequent generations, the family pioneered organic viticulture in 1950 and biodynamic farming in 1974. Based in Courthézon, they are celebrated for their masterful blending of all thirteen permitted Châteauneuf-du-Pape grape varieties, aging their wines in traditional large oak foudres to preserve purity and terroir. Their world-class portfolio ranges from the iconic, Mourvèdre-dominant Château de Beaucastel Hommage à Jacques Perrin to expressive regional selections like Les Sinards and La Gille.
