Famille Perrin's Gigondas "L'Argnée" Vieilles Vignes is a spectacular homage to the ancient viticultural heritage of the southern Rhône. Sourced from a tiny, precious plot of centenarian Grenache vines—some of which are pre-phylloxera—this wine owes its survival to the unique, fine sandy soils of the vineyard, which naturally resisted the devastating phylloxera aphid in the late 19th century. Located in the heart of the Gigondas appellation, these ancient, low-yielding vines produce fruit of astonishing concentration and complexity. The wine is crafted with minimal intervention, traditional fermentation, and aging in oak to allow the pure, ethereal expression of old-vine Grenache and its sandy terroir to shine through, offering a profile marked by intense red fruit, spice, and refined, silky tannins.

Established in the southern Rhône Valley and closely tied to the legendary Château de Beaucastel since 1909, Famille Perrin is one of France's most respected winemaking dynasties. Under the visionary guidance of Jacques Perrin and subsequent generations, the family pioneered organic viticulture in 1950 and biodynamic farming in 1974. Based in Courthézon, they are celebrated for their masterful blending of all thirteen permitted Châteauneuf-du-Pape grape varieties, aging their wines in traditional large oak foudres to preserve purity and terroir. Their world-class portfolio ranges from the iconic, Mourvèdre-dominant Château de Beaucastel Hommage à Jacques Perrin to expressive regional selections like Les Sinards and La Gille.
