Often affectionately dubbed the 'baby Beaucastel,' Les Sinards Rouge is crafted primarily from the younger vines of the legendary Château de Beaucastel (under 15 years of age), supplemented by select neighboring plots within the Châteauneuf-du-Pape appellation. This wine offers an accessible window into the prestigious terroir of the southern Rhône, where the vineyards are famously covered in 'galets roulés'—large, heat-retaining quartzite stones left behind by ancient alpine glaciers. These stones absorb the intense Provençal sun by day and radiate warmth to the vines at night, fostering optimal ripeness. Vinified with the same meticulous care as the estate's flagship bottling, Les Sinards undergoes traditional fermentation before aging in oak foudres, resulting in a beautifully balanced, Grenache-dominant red that marries rich red fruit, garrigue spice, and elegant structure.

Famille Perrin is one of the Southern Rhône Valley’s most revered viticultural dynasties, tracing its modern winemaking lineage to 1909 when Pierre Tramier acquired the iconic Château de Beaucastel in Courthézon. Under the transformative leadership of Jacques Perrin, the estate became an early pioneer of organic viticulture in 1950 and fully embraced biodynamic farming in 1974. Now stewarded by the fourth and fifth generations, the Perrin family commands exceptional crus across Châteauneuf-du-Pape, Gigondas, and Vinsobres. Rooted in the classic galets roulés, molasse, and limestone clays buffeted by the drying Mistral winds, their philosophy emphasizes poly-varietal balance, biodiversity, and minimal intervention. Winemaking favors gentle extraction, indigenous yeast fermentations, and traditional maturation in large neutral oak foudres.
