Hailing from the historic cellars of the Rivero family, who began their winemaking journey in Rioja in 1899, the Faustino Rivero Ulecia Chitón Reserva is a tribute to over a century of family heritage. This traditional red blend is dominated by Tempranillo, sourced from vineyards that benefit from the warm, Mediterranean-influenced climate of Rioja Oriental. To earn its Reserva status, the wine undergoes a patient aging process of at least three years, including a minimum of 12 months in oak barrels followed by extensive bottle aging. This traditional method tempers the vibrant dark fruit flavors of plum and wild berry with sophisticated layers of vanilla, leather, and sweet spices, resulting in a classic Rioja profile with silky tannins and a lingering, elegant finish.

Founded in 1861 by Eleuterio Martínez Arzok, Bodegas Faustino is a historic estate located in Oyón, within the prestigious Rioja Alavesa region of Spain. Now managed by the fourth generation of the Martínez Zabala family, the winery has become globally synonymous with premium Rioja, particularly renowned for its iconic frosted bottles and long-aged Gran Reserva wines. Faustino's winemaking philosophy combines traditional Rioja aging in American and French oak casks with modern techniques, utilizing estate-grown Tempranillo, Graciano, and Mazuelo. Beyond their legendary red reservoirs like Faustino I, the estate also crafts elegant whites, rosés, and traditional-method Cava sparkling wines.
