Firriato's Camelot is a prestigious Sicilian interpretation of the classic Bordeaux blend, born from the clay-loam soils of the Baglio Soria estate in the Trapani countryside. Here, the intense Mediterranean sun is tempered by cooling sea breezes, allowing international varieties to develop extraordinary complexity and rich polyphenolic structure. The wine's name, Camelot, evokes the legendary court of King Arthur, symbolizing a chivalric quest for winemaking perfection and the harmonious alliance of two noble grape varieties. Vinified with meticulous care and aged in French oak barriques, Camelot marries the structure and herbaceous hints of Cabernet Sauvignon with the plush, velvety fruit of Merlot, resulting in a dark, brooding, and sophisticated red that bridges old-world elegance with Sicilian warmth.

Firriato blev grundlagt i 1984 af Salvatore Di Gaetano og hans hustru Vinizia Novara og regnes i dag blandt Siciliens førende vinproducenter med stor anerkendelse for deres rolle i øens vinøse renæssance. Vingården råder over bemærkelsesværdigt varierede terroirs på tværs af Sicilien – fra Trapani-landskabets solbeskinnede vinmarker og øen Favignanas maritime klima til Etnas højtbeliggende, vulkanske skråninger. Firriato er dybt engageret i certificeret økologisk dyrkning og bæredygtighed, og de værner om den autentiske biodiversitet med fokus på oprindelige sicilianske druesorter som Nero d'Avola, Nerello Mascalese og Grillo suppleret med udvalgte internationale sorter.
